Compact Kitchen Company – Rental Terms & Conditions
1. Rental Period
The minimum rental period is three (3) weeks. The rental period begins on the scheduled delivery date and ends on the scheduled pickup date.
Rental extensions must be requested prior to the scheduled pickup date and are subject to equipment availability. Additional rental time will be billed on a weekly basis.
2. Payment Terms
Full payment for the minimum rental period is required at the time of booking, unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
Additional rental time will be billed weekly.
Payments made within 72 hours of the scheduled delivery date are non-refundable.
3. Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit may be required prior to delivery.
The deposit will be returned following inspection of the unit upon pickup, provided there is:
• No damage to the unit
• No missing components
• No excessive cleaning required
Repair or cleaning costs may be deducted from the deposit if necessary.
4. Cancellation & Delivery Policy
Cancellations made more than 72 hours prior to the scheduled delivery date will receive a full refund of the deposit.
Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled delivery date will result in the deposit being retained to cover scheduling, preparation, and equipment reservation.
If a delivery date needs to be rescheduled after the order has been scheduled and prepared, a scheduling and preparation fee may apply.
Missed Delivery
If delivery cannot be completed due to customer unavailability, lack of access to the property, or the job site not being ready at the scheduled time, a missed delivery or redelivery fee may apply.
Compact Kitchen Company understands renovation schedules may change and will make reasonable efforts to accommodate scheduling adjustments when possible.
5. Use of Equipment
The Compact Kitchen unit is intended for light residential cooking and dishwashing during kitchen renovations only.
The renter agrees:
• To operate the unit safely and according to provided instructions
• Not to modify, alter, or repair the unit
• Not to connect the unit to any plumbing system
• To plug the unit into a properly functioning GFCI electrical outlet
The unit may not be moved or relocated once installed without prior approval from Compact Kitchen Company.
6. Water Tanks
The renter is responsible for:
• Filling the fresh water tank
• Emptying the grey water tank as needed
Compact Kitchen Company is not responsible for overfilling, improper handling, or misuse of water tanks.
7. Electrical Requirements
The unit requires one standard 120V electrical outlet.
The renter is responsible for ensuring the outlet is safe and properly functioning.
Compact Kitchen Company is not responsible for electrical issues within the home or property.
8. Damage or Loss
The renter assumes responsibility for the equipment while it is in their possession.
Charges may apply for:
• Damage to the unit
• Missing components
• Excessive cleaning
• Water damage caused by misuse
• Negligent operation
Repair or replacement costs may be deducted from the security deposit or billed directly to the renter.
9. Delivery & Pickup
Delivery and pickup times are scheduled in advance. The renter must provide clear and safe access to the property.
If delivery or pickup cannot be completed due to access issues, additional service charges may apply.
10. Cleaning
The unit must be returned in reasonable clean condition. A cleaning fee may be charged if excessive cleaning is required.
11. Indoor Use & Weather Protection
The Compact Kitchen unit is designed for indoor residential use only.
The unit may not be used outdoors or in areas exposed to rain, snow, or weather conditions unless specifically approved by Compact Kitchen Company.
The renter is responsible for protecting the unit from water exposure, extreme temperatures, or environmental damage during the rental period.
12. Renovation Delay / Extended Rental Clause
Kitchen renovation timelines may change due to contractor schedules, material delays, or unforeseen construction conditions.
If the renovation project extends beyond the originally scheduled rental period, the rental will automatically continue on a weekly basis until the unit is scheduled for pickup.
Additional rental time will be billed at the standard weekly rate.
13. Limitation of Liability
Compact Kitchen Company shall not be liable for:
• Injury resulting from misuse of equipment
• Damage resulting from improper operation
• Electrical issues within the property
• Water damage caused by improper tank handling
Use of the equipment is at the renter’s own risk.
14. Chargeback Policy
By completing a reservation or payment, the customer agrees to the terms of the rental and service agreement.
Customers agree not to initiate a credit card chargeback for services or equipment that have been delivered, installed, reserved, or otherwise prepared for the scheduled rental period.
In the event of a disputed charge, the customer agrees to first contact Compact Kitchen Company to resolve the issue directly.
If a chargeback is initiated for services or equipment that were provided in accordance with the agreement, the customer may be responsible for any associated chargeback fees, administrative costs, and collection expenses incurred by Compact Kitchen Company.
15. Acceptance of Terms
By completing the rental checkout process, making payment, or accepting delivery of equipment, the renter acknowledges and agrees to these Rental Terms and Conditions.
All deposits and payments represent agreement to the rental terms, cancellation policy, and service conditions outlined on this website.
